Hello! It's a pleasure to announce that the exhibition "Bijoux d'Autore 2012" c/o Bijou Museum of Casalmaggiore has been extended, and so you can visit it, until march 2013, 3rd!

The Inauguration of Bijoux d'Autore 2012 Exhibition @ Bijou Museum in Casalmaggiore - PHOTOS

Last weekend I had the pleasure to personally take part to the inauguration of the second exhibition (open until February 23th) dedicated to the Bijoux d'Autore 2012 Contest's finalists, to which I partecipated with my ring "The Way To Your Heart": useless to say that, like always, this kind of events leave you richer in experience, but most of all for the meeting of extraordinary people.

In this occasion wasn't different, and I returned back home with my heart full of happiness because I hugged again dear friends and I met new ones; in the photo below you can see the introduction to the exhibition in which there was a precence of two "old friends": Norma De Lucia, President of Associazione Incontri e Eventi, and the brilliant creative at the back of Caracol, Eleonora Battaggia, winner of the contest :)

In addition to hug again my friends and meeting new ones, I finally had the possibility to visit the beautiful Bijou Museum of Casalmaggiore, unique in its genre for the exhibition and - like Dott.ssa Letizia Frigerio, "soul" of the Museum, highlighted - for activities' number and vivacity.

And here it is my work: the papier maché ring "The Way To Your Heart" that at the end I decided to donate to the Bijou Museum's Collection; I have to say it's been really hard to do this, since this is a work I love because of personal vicissitudes in my life in the period I projected and realized it. But maybe, even for this, I felt to give it one more possibility to continue its exhibition history like part of a Museum. And let's hope - why not - this will be of good omen!

How I told before, the Incontri e Eventi Association will take the winners and finalist works of the 4th Edition of Bijoux d'Autore Contest from Rome to the Bijou Museum in Casalmaggiore for an exhibition that will be freely visible from the 9th to the 24th of February 2013.

Between work, travels (I'm writing again from Northern Ireland) and new projects (coming soon...) the time remaining for publishing articles on blog is always too few...and so I find myself really surprised to realize that it's already 10 days that I'm not writing news on CartEssenza's Laboratory work!
Today I want to share with you the invitation to the exhibition I talked about in my last post; it's useless to say that I'll be waiting for you! :)

Bijoux d'Autore coinvolge artisti, designer e artigiani nazionali e internazionali, i quali, sperimentando materiali alternativi e nuove forme, mostrano il volto della bigiotteria contamporanea. 
Ampia la scelta dei materiali proposti, dalla buccia di cipolla al marmo, passando per stoffe e bottoni, fili di rame e di acciaio, e ancora ottone, legno, seta ed altri ancora. 
Un ornamento da indosso che va oltre ‘l’abbellire’ ... racconta poesie, sogni o paesi lontani. 
Una selezione di particolare varietà e bellezza. 
La mostra, con la proclamazione del vincitore, finalisti e menzione speciale, è fissata dal 22 al 25 novembre 2012 a Roma. 
A febbraio 2012 la seconda mostra al Museo del bijou di Casalmaggiore.

CartEssenza has been selected for Bijoux d'Autore 2012!!!

Hi to all,
here it is a really good news: CartEssenza's "The Way To Your Heart" ring has been selected for "Bijoux d'Autore 2012" contest! Do you know what this means? Simple: from 22th to 25th November 2012 I'll be in Rome for the exhibition with proclamation of the winner, the finalists and the special mention!
The exhibition will then continue in February 2012 at Bijou Museum in Casalmaggiore :)

CartEssenza at Bijoux d'Autore 2012!

Hello everybody,

I proudly announce CartEssenza's participation to the 4th Edition of the International Contest "Bijoux d'Autore", organized by the Cultural Association "Incontri e Eventi".

The work I present, expressly created for the event, is the ring "The way to your heart", realized in papier machè, metal wire, acrylic paints and resin.
